This single-family residence used to be a five-unit apartment building. In developing it, the architects conscientiously used the existing resources, minimizing demolition and maximizing sustainability. Wind and sun provide the house with the energy; light and ventilation promote comfortable living.
Courtyards and patios allow for natural ventilation, as do large sliding doors that open an interior space to the exterior.
Reaching innovative sustainable solutions often leads to the use of recycled materials. They can be used for both decorative and functional purposes.
